Bullet can’t accept Thulani’s ‘death’

Gqeberha: The Empire fan-favourite couple Anathi (Akhenime Mfenyane) and Thulani (Tembinkosi Ngcukana) will disappear after a boat explosion.

IS THULANI AND ANATHI DEAD?

The TVSA Gqeberha: The Empire July teasers reveal that Nozuko (Kamvelihle Bikitsha) will find out that Thulani is the father of Anathi’s baby and confront them.

The teasers also reveal that Thulani’s father Luzuko (Mbulelo Grootboom), who is Anathi’s husband will also make them pay for betraying him.

Thursday, 13 July: “The chickens finally come home to roost for Thulani and Anathi.” 

Luzuko’s eldest son Thulani had a fling with his fourth wife Anathi before they got married. She realised the baby is her stepson’s baby and not her husband’s when the doctor confirmed that she was two months pregnant after only being married to her husband for a month.

Luzuko’s third wife Nozuku found out that Anathi’s baby isn’t their husband’s via a sangoma, Fakude. When she revealed the truth to her husband, he threw her out of her house.

Friday, 14 July: “Luzuko makes Thulani and Anathi pay for their betrayal.”

Bulelwa (Zikhona Sodlaka), who is Luzuko’s (Mbulelo Grootboom) oldest/first wife forced her son Thulani to marry his girlfriend Nontle when she found out he’s got feelings for his stepmother Anathi.

The teasers also reveal that Bulelwa won’t accept that Thulani is really dead when he and Anathi disappear after the explosion.

Monday, 17 July 2023: “The news of the boat explosion spreads like wildfire and Bulelwa refuses to accept that Thulani is dead.”

‘GQEBERHA: THE EMPIRE’ UPCOMING STORYLINES

The Ggeberha: The Empire teasers reveal that Anathi and Thulani will survive the explosion and will arrive in East London but things won’t go smoothly for them. The teasers also suggest that they might contact his mother Bulelwa as they trust her more than other family members with their secrets.

Viewers of the Mzansi Magic telenovela are wondering if Zimkitha’s (Zandile Msutwana) secret affair with Msimelelo (Anele Mtoti) will also be revealed.

Msimelelo has no idea that he is the biological father of Zimkitha and Luzuko’s first born son Ntando (Phila Madlingozi).
