Enhle Mbali is making big moves in the fashion World

Actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa is making waves in the fashion industry as she has recently showcased her Essie Apparel designs at the Zurich Fashion Week, following her third South African Fashion Week (SAFW) exhibit.

A number of South Africans have lauded the seasoned actress for making waves internationally and flying the country’s flag high. This comes after the award-winning designer gave her fans an inside look at her recent trip to Switzerland on her Instagram timeline.

Many fans were impressed by her diligence in focusing on her hustle while seemingly putting her estranged husband’s drama behind her. Enhle’s comment section was flooded with congratulatory messages and compliments. It’s been a while since the actress appeared on television screens, but it seems like she’s been working hard to expand her fashion line. Despite being a newcomer in fashion, her moves are impressive in the industry. In an interview with Drum, the designer revealed that she was no stranger to creating clothing.

“The funny thing is, it started a long time ago, I used to make my own clothes as a teenager. When I was 15, I made clothes for the Divas’ Concert – my very first [fashion show]. I don’t know what they were thinking, letting a 16-year-old create clothing,” she told Drum. Enhle’s first collection as a fashion designer came out back in 2015 when she launched a maternity-wear line called SE Preggoz by Mbali Enhle Maphumulo. She later launched Essie Apparel, which made its SA Fashion Week debut in 2019.

As a result of her creativity and hard work, she won the best designer collection award at Fashion Community Week in San Francisco, USA, in 2019. Enhle took to Instagram to share the good news with her followers, revealing that it was her first international fashion award.

“Won my first international award as @essie_apparel for best Designer this weekend is San Francisco!! So proud of my team and thank you all for the support!! Onwards and Upwards, Let’s take up space,” she said.
