Nadia Nakai breaks down over message from her mother [watch]

Rapper and reality TV star Nadia Nakai could not hold back her tears after hearing a sweet message from her mother.

During a Previdar magazine interview, radio and TV presenter Relebogile Mabotja surprised the Naaa Meaan hitmaker with audio messages from her little brother and mother.

NADIA NAKAI’S MOTHER AND BROTHER SEND SWEET MESSAGES TO HER

Nadia’s 13-year-old brother shared his fondest memory of her. He shared that while on holiday in Thailand, she used him as a mannequin for her wig.

In response, the musician said that her brother is her favourite erson, describing him as considerate.

Her mother expressed her unconditional love for her and said she was in awe of the extraordinary woman she has become.

“To my one and only favourite daughter Nadia, never forget that Mommy loves you with all her heart.” I stand here in awe of the extraordinary woman that you have become. Your ability to love and embrace others, your strength and ability to venture into unknown territories by yourself in the way that you carry yourself out there.

“I can’t promise to be there for the rest of your life but I can definitely promise you that I will always love you for the rest of mine. And for that, I will always hold you closely in my heart unquestionably for whatever you do know that I will always be there for you, I will always be here loving you and I pray that God looks after you and keep you safe for all the days of your life. Love you, girl. Nadia, this is Mom aka Mai Nadia.”

WHY SHE BROKE DOWN

When asked what is it about her mother’s message that touched her, Nadia said: “I think when you lose a love like her you question if you are going to get that type of love again or hear someone say how much they love you like that again. I know my mom loves me, but I don’t think I grew up with my mom being as vocal as she was now.”

The musician, affectionately known as Bragga, lost her boyfriend and fellow rapper in February. The Lemons (Lemonade) hitmaker — whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes — was gunned down in Durban outside Wish on Florida restaurant when two armed men opened fire on him and his team. No arrests have been made so far.
