Nadine reveals Derick Hougaard is struggling to walk

Afrikaans pop singer Nadine thanked everyone for praying and supporting the retired rugby player Derick Hougaard, who was discharged from hospital this weekend.

NADINE: ‘HE IS THANKFUL TO BE HOME’

Nadine also revealed on her social media account that Derick Hougaard is thankful to be home again, and he’s still struggling to walk and talk.

“Thank you for the prayers and love! Derick is thankful to be home again! me as well!”

The singer added that Hougaard is weak, skinny and tired, but he’s a champ who could kick like little, and will get stronger again.

“He is on an oxygen machine for most hours of every day and takes a lot of medication for the following weeks and months. Physiotherapy for the lungs is essential and every day is a small step closer to the Derick he used to be.”

The retired rugby player is also struggling to walk and though talking is very difficult for him, one can understand him. She also thanked Waldimar and kykNET for their amazing flowers they delivered.

And added that sometimes one wishes things could be the way they were again: “But from every hardship comes new lessons, new steps, and new hope.”
