Tamaryn Green to be the first judge on Miss SA reality series

Former Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green is set to be the first celebrity guest judge on the new Miss SA TV series called Crown Chasers.

Premiering on Sunday 11 July 2023, the five 60 minute long episodes will follow each Top 11 contestant on their Miss South Africa journey. Each contestant will be put in real life scenarios and challenges, allowing contestants to compete for the Miss SA crown.

Hosted by former Miss SA and Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, Crown Chasers also sees media personality Bonang Matheba and actress Leandie du Randt as judges.

Former Miss SA to join Bonang and Leandie

Bonang Matheba and Leandie du Randt will be joined by a new guest judge every week.

At the end of each episode, the judges will vote off contestants until there are seven remaining finalists that will then compete in the grand live finale in August 2023.

Former Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green will join Bonang and Leandie as the first guest judge on Crown Chasers.

Tamaryn Green ‘honoured and excited’ to join ‘Crown Chasers’

Dr Tamaryn Green was crowned Miss South Africa in 2018. She also represented South Africa in the Miss Universe competition in 2018 and was placed as the first runner-up.

“I’m honoured and excited that I’m the first judge,” Tamaryn shared.

In addition to sharing her excitement, Tamaryn Green hopes that she has lived up to any expectations that may have been needed by contestants.

“I hope that I set the pace for the guest judges that follow in subsequent episodes. I also hope that I lived up to what the contestants really needed from me,” Tamaryn Green shared.

In an article by News24 the 28-year-old mentioned that she is looking for “a passionate go-getter with enough foresight to understand what it takes to represent South Africa fully”.
